Young Pawfessionals: you have superpowers
You have ideas. We love ideas. You want to build a stronger community. We’re looking to expand our community. You want to play a role in creating a better future. We believe that’s a superpower.
The Dumb Friends League Young Pawfessionals group brings people together to collaborate and help grow enthusiasm and raise awareness for animal welfare and the League’s mission to end pet homelessness and animal suffering. And, we’re betting you’re passionate about combining your interest in helping animals, networking, expanding your professional development, supporting a meaningful cause, learning about relevant topics presented by industry leaders, volunteering and acting as a steward for the League. Phew. That’s a lot, but that’s why you have superpowers!
During regular meetings, you can expect to hear about animal-welfare issues and the current economic and social environment surrounding non-profit organizations. Members will also learn about League-specific programs, non-profit career development, as well as Socially Conscious Animal Communities. Perhaps most important, you’ll discover how you can play a significant leadership role in our communities' futures, including the League, as we strive to always be best in class.
If you’re between the ages of 21 and 39 and currently work in or have an interest in working in the non-profit or animal-welfare sectors, join us on Wednesday, March 3, for an introductory Zoom call at 6 p.m. You’ll learn what it means to be a part of the Young Pawfessionals group, including membership requirements and benefits. Email pawfessionals@ddfl.org for more information about our Young Pawfessionals Group, including the intro meeting.
Maybe any person can save the day, but when a superhero can do it while helping animals, that’s something special.
